If you created a guest character and want to link it to a permanent account, please make sure you choose to create an account while logged into the guest character. Then you have to choose either an email login or Facebook login that you haven't already used for another account.
If you choose an email or Facebook login you have already used, you run the risk of losing that guest character if you log out of it.
