If you are having an issue using the Artix Games Launcher, we are here to help!
Most issues are resolved by clearing cache, making sure you have the latest version installed or making sure you don't have anything blocking the launcher, such as a Firewall or Anti-virus. You can clear cache by clicking the 'Clear Cache' button above the gear symbol to the bottom left of the launcher.
Here are troubleshooting options for some specific issues that may come up:
The Launcher opens a white screen
There are two possible reasons for this to happen.
If the white screen only appears when you click to play a game, please right click inside the game box and uncheck the Hardware Acceleration box.
If the white screen appears when you open the Launcher, please fully uninstall your current version and use one of our archived versions. The newest version does not seem to be compatible with your system.
You can find our archived downloads here:
https://www.artix.com/downloads/launcherarchives/
Most systems will still be compatible with one of these versions:
https://launch.artix.com/archives/ArtixLauncher_win_x64_2_0_1.exe (64 bit)
https://launch.artix.com/archives/ArtixLauncher_win_x86_2_0_1.exe (32 bit)
As of the time this was posted, there are no known white screen issues with non-Windows versions. If any come up, we will post them.
The Launcher opens a black screen
This is most commonly caused by an incomplete connection between your computer and our servers. This may be due to our servers being down, or a slow or dropped connection on your end. You can have the best, fastest, most amazing connection and it could still time out for a fraction of a second and not complete the connection.
We recommend first closing the Launcher and reopening. Especially if you are trying to connect on update days.
If you are unable to connect after 15 or 20 minutes, you may also wish to try an archived version of the Launcher as well. While not common, at times, an incompatible Launcher and system may cause a black screen.
The Launcher is giving me an error message when installing
This is commonly caused by a corrupt or incomplete download. Please fully delete the download you currently have from the "C:\Program Files\Artix Game Launcher" (or other folder if you chose a different destination) and download a new file.
Please also make sure you are downloading the Launcher to your C: drive an not an external drive as this can cause issues.
If none of these troubleshooting options help resolve your issue and you cannot install or load the Launcher, we do have a 'portable' version of the Launcher that doesn't have to be installed and runs on its own. You can also try an archived version of our Launcher.
You can find our archived downloads here:
https://www.artix.com/downloads/launcherarchives/
Most systems will still be compatible with one of these versions:
https://launch.artix.com/archives/ArtixLauncher_win_x64_2_0_1.exe (64 bit)
https://launch.artix.com/archives/ArtixLauncher_win_x86_2_0_1.exe (32 bit)
If you choose to use the portable version of the Launcher, there is an issue that can happen where JavaScript can break. This is most commonly caused by trying to open more than one instance of the portable version of the Launcher. Please right click the Launcher icon on your system tray and exit the program. If you are still having trouble when trying to re-enter, please either do a full restart of your computer or use Windows Task Manager to confirm there aren't any Artix applications in the background and close them.
You can always contact Artix Support for further assistance with any other issues as well!
